The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane

Written by Kate DiCamillo, adapted by Dwayne Hartford
Directed by Jennifer Cousteils
Sponsored by Orr Insurance & Investment

On an ocean voyage, a toy rabbit named Edward Tulane, is accidentally thrown overboard and sinks to the bottom of the sea, and thus his journey begins. Edward meets many unique people in different situations on his journey: Edward learns what it is to love, what it is to lose that love, and how to find the courage to love again. Based on Kate DiCamillo’s beautiful novel of the same name, the play is a theatrical tour de force for an ensemble of actors, artists, and musicians.

Picasso at the Lapin Agile

Written by Steve Martin
Directed by Brian Cox
Sponsored by 2nd Streetlight Estate Winery

In a Parisian Cafe in 1904, young Albert Einstein and Pablo Picasso meet, just before the scientist published his theory of relativity and the painter revolutionized the art world by introducing cubism. These two geniuses discuss creativity, fame, and the universe with a very skeptical audience of bystanders. The last surprise visitor is a charismatic singer from a later era. This is Steve Martin's first play written directly for the stage, full of his trademark wit and silliness, layered on top of a deep intelligence and respect for the artists.

The Play That Goes Wrong

Written by Henry Lewis, Jonathan Sayer, & Henry Shields
Directed by Nina Reynolds
Sponsored by Sommer Brothers Construction

After benefiting from a large and sudden inheritance, the inept and accident-prone Cornley Polytechnic Drama Society embark on producing an ambitious 1920s murder mystery. They are delighted that neither casting issues nor technical hitches currently stands in their way. However, disaster ensues and the cast start to crack under the pressure, but can they get the production back on track before the final curtain falls? The New York Times says “... one of those breakneck exercises in idiocy that make you laugh till you cry... it starts off punch-drunk and just keeps getting drunker".
